50 Days ‘til Graduation Celebration
Ice Cream Social
Location: Carmel High School - Lower Courtyard
Date: Wednesday, May 1, 2024
Time: 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
We will kick off our celebrations of the Class of 2024 with this event that starts the countdown towards Graduation! Seniors are invited to come to the lower courtyard at 2:00 PM to gather with their peers and enjoy a cold treat. We thank the Carmel Rotary Club for generously sponsoring this event!
Elementary Walk-Throughs
Location: Elementary Schools
Date: Tuesday, June 4, 2024
Time: 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
We are excited for our Elementary Walk-throughs. Each Class of 2024 graduate is welcome to “walk through” their former elementary school promptly at 2:00 pm. Please note only the student is allowed to attend and enter their former elementary school. Seniors are invited to wear shirts that represent their “next step”: college, military service, training, or career.
Senior Awards Day Ceremony
Location: Carmel High School Gymnasium
Date: Thursday, June 6, 2024
Time: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Senior day awards are an opportunity for seniors to come together to highlight and celebrate each other’s achievements. This celebration will be for senior students only. Information regarding the evening senior awards will follow.
CHS Class of 2024 Yearbook Dedication!
Location: Carmel High School Gym Lobby
Date: Thursday, June 6, 2024
Time: 12:30 pm – 1:50 pm
Come join the yearbook committee as they premier the CHS 2024 yearbook! The yearbook’s dedicatee will give a speech as well as a special surprise at the end! Come celebrate and sign your class pages one last time with your classmates!
Senior Ball
Location: The Waterview, 215 Roosevelt Drive, Monroe CT
Date: Monday, June 10, 2024
Time: 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Senior Ball will be held at The Waterview which includes a full “mocktail” hour and dinner. Pictures can be taken beforehand outside in the garden. We are happy to announce that the entire senior class will be together and that outside dates are welcome to attend the event (guest forms are in the AP Suite). Tickets go on sale from Monday, May 6 – Friday, May 17, 2024, through My School Bucks. A separate letter with more information about the Senior Ball will be sent to students and parents in late April.
Destination Day
Location: Carmel High School
Date: Wednesday, June 12, 2024
On “Destination Day” we encourage all seniors to wear a shirt or other gear that represents their next step in life, whether that is College, Career Training, Military Service, or entering the Workforce.
On this day we celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2024 and their next destination, knowing that their example inspires our Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors to reach for their goals.
Senior Day!

Calling all seniors!!! As in years past, this is a special day for our seniors to celebrate their accomplishments, sign their yearbook pages, enjoy food, play lawn games, and spend their last day of school together.
We are very thankful to the Carmel High School Parent Association for generously offering to help us fund the Class of 2024 Senior Day!
Cap and Gown Pick Up
Location: Carmel High School – Casey Hall

Please make sure your graduate has returned all missing items before pick-up. Please contact Anne Marie Young at ayoung@carmelschools.org, if your child has missing items and has not yet returned them. (Please note that school buildings are closed on June 19, 2024).

Commencement Ceremony

SENIOR BALL
Good afternoon!
Congratulations on making it to the spring of your child’s senior year! There are so many amazing activities coming up and accomplishments to celebrate!
On Monday, June 10 from 6pm – 11pm the Carmel High School Senior Ball will be taking place at the Waterview in Monroe, CT. Tickets are $65 each and will be on sale Monday, May 6 through Friday, May 17. There will be no sales after May 17. All ticket sales will be online through the MySchoolBucks website. www.myschoolbucks.com
- Please see "Ball Ticket Sales 2024" below for specific details on how to create an account and purchase ball tickets for your son or daughter.
- Each senior attending must purchase their own ticket, even if two seniors are attending ball together. If a senior is bringing a date who is not a CHS senior, two tickets may be purchased together. The name of your child’s date must be submitted at the time of purchase. If your child does not know the name of their date, please wait to purchase tickets.
- A parent permission slip will be signed off at the time of purchase.
- All CHS students attending senior ball will receive a student sign off form in their school emails. Students must sign off on this to be admitted into the event. Please remind your children to check their school email.
- Parents of CHS underclassmen attending senior ball will also receive a parent permission slip in their emails.
- If your son or daughter is taking a date who is not a CHS student, he or she will need to complete a guest contract. Guest contracts are available in the the AP suite across from the cafeteria. Guest contracts are due back to the AP Suite by Friday, May 17.
- All students must provide names for table of ten. Table sheets will be emailed to the students or picked up in the Main Office. )They must be dropped off at the Main Office or emailed to jzupan@carmelschools.org by Tuesday, May 21. Incomplete tables will be filled at the advisor’s discretion.
